The British Volunteer, or the 'Volly' as it has affectionately become known, has over 150 years of history. Its name dates back to the early 1800's and is taken from a band of men who numbered almost 40,000 who stood up to defend England's southern borders against the threat of a French invasion. Unfortunately, capacity limits us from a organising a reunion. Today the British Volunteer is a well known traditional pub in Weybridge, Surrey. We pride ourselves on being friendly, warm and welcoming. Which, we hope, is just one reason why we have such a varied range of guests and regulars.
